Open Window, Collioure

Open Window, Collioure was painted by Henri Matisse in 1905.  This work is an oil on canvas.  I like this painting because of the blend of light colors.  The open doors suggest freshness and openness. The doors open to the sea, which suggest optimism and endless possibilities.  There are also flowering plants witch promote growth.  I feel as though this painting gives the viewer a sense of optimism and hope.
