Jackson Pollock's
Number 1, 1950 (Lavender Mist) is first and foremost unique. As many critics note, it is virtually impossible to make a forgery of his work. I find his art important because of its ability to be interpreted in so many ways. The painting asks you itself: What do I mean to you?
