This is The Elephant Celebes by Max Ernst; oil on canvas 1921. It stood out to me because the elephant is really big in the center but made up of different elements. It was painted during the surrealism period. It combines collage with surrealism and it works very well. Overall I like it because it looks like a dream. Each color stands out so you can see each individual element working together to form the whole piece.
