This is a painting done by Fairfield Porter of a parking lot. Porter is known for his ability to reveal extraordinariness in ordinary life. As seen in this painting, it is an ordinary parking lot, but it is the colors that make it extraordinary. I chose this painting because I liked the vintage feel to it and the balance of all of the warm and cool colors. I also liked the detail in all of the leaves and trees.
