This is Giacomo Balla's Dynamism of a Dog on a Leash. I like it mostly because when you think of a painting, I imagine a solid object with clear lines and dimensions. In this image, Giacomo is clearly attempting to create the illusion of motion by blurring the dog's leg's, its leash and it's owner's feet. This isn't something I see everyday and so I would like to try it myself in the future. I also find it interest that this paint was created using oil paint. When I first looked at it, I thought it was ink on wood or a desk of some kind. Knowing that it is actually oil paint makes this work of art all the more intriguing. I can't imaging this being something easy to do using such a medium.
